Soccer Songs That Make the Game More Exciting
In Argentina, Brazil, France, United Kingdom, Japan, Korea and many other countries, people play soccer, watch soccer games, and even sing football songs in public places. Soccer is often the topic friends discuss over meals and soccer news is read in every street corner. Practically, soccer has been a constant part of the people's lives and in several countries the game has even become a part of their culture. Football right now is already more than just a leisure activity. It is a way of life.
The loud singing and cheering inject a unique form of excitement and exhilarating suspense to the out field. A die-hard fan enjoys soccer games more when he or she shares

Winning Youth Soccer Styles of Play
As a youth soccer coach you need to be able to decide which style of play will work best for your team. There are different factors that will affect that decision. Everything from the abilities of your players, to the weather, to the condition of the soccer field will play into your decision.
Styles of play refers to the way your youth soccer team plays together during the game. It is your job as the youth soccer coach to determine which style to use.
Attacking Styles of Play
Direct Attack
Soccer teams will use a direct attack to try to beat the defense by playing long passes. This is not a dump-and-run offense. These are long, accurate passes to players making runs toward the goal, that penetrate the defense.
The objective is to push the ball forward with few passes, and only a few players touching the ball. By quickly passing the ball through the defense you can attack the goal before the defense has an opportunity to drop back to assist the goalkeeper.
Your job as the youth soccer coach is to include drills in

Tom Hicks & Corinthians
The parallels between what happened to Corinthians and what is currently happening at Liverpool are unsettling to say the least:
* There was the initial blaze of publicity and fanfare when the company bought the club in 1999, with promises of big spending on the best players and the construction of a brand new 45,000 seater stadium in the suburbs of Sao Paulo.
* There was an initial capital investment to tie down existing players and to finance the purchase one or two other additional players.
* The economics behind the Corinthians deal appeared to be based on ridiculously rudimentary logic: "If you add up all the fans of professional baseball, basketball, football and hockey in the United States, that number is lower than the number of Brazilians who are soccer fans." Clearly, no proper risk analysis had been undertaken - a situation which resonates with the due diligence period of 3 days prior to the purchase of Liverpool.
* This flimsy approach was reinforced by the

Who Invented the Soccer Ball?
It would be nice if you could pinpoint exactly which person came up with soccer and indeed who invented the soccer ball. Just like the game itself though, the balls have simply been subject to a long process of development over hundreds of years. Rather than one person creating the soccer ball as we know it, therefore, the designs have changed over time and are not generally credited to an individual. Instead of naming a creator of the soccer ball then, we can take a brief look into its long journey.
At first, soccer balls were merely animal bladders wrapped in leather! In the 1600s for example, the bladder of a 'pallone'- an early Italian soccer ball- had to be inflated. These ancient balls were laced together manually, often lost shape with heavy use and became saturated with water when it rained. For a long time, even right up to the 1940s, you would have found soccer balls heavy and very difficult to play with.
More recently, with improved technology, soccer balls have developed into a light-weight, waterproof form. As you can imagine this now makes life much easier for strikers and harder for goalkeepers- this is just the game as we know it today!
Hopefully you can see that we can't determine who invented the soccer ball, because its development has just been a long process over time. Long ago people would just kick around animal bladders because these were all they had to play with. Nowadays we have better technology, so you can play with the plastic-coated, rapid balls that make the game much more exciting for all involved!

Liverpool Home Kit 2010-12
As a little taster for a more in depth review of a selection of 10-11 season kits that will be coming shortly I thought I’d just feature the new adidas Liverpool home kit for 2010-12 (yes, two seasons!!)
The strip was one of the earliest to be involved a few months ago and despite being slightly underwhelmed the design (like most of adidas’ recent strips actually) has really grown on me. Its a design that just screams “Liverpool” despite the arrival of new sponsors Standard Chartered who replace the old familiar Carlsberg. The shirt features a simple crew neck devoid of any trim and a diamond shadow

FC Barcelona Players - Lionel Messi
Born in 1987, he signed for Barcelona from Newell's Old Boys of Argentina at 13 years of age, and since that time Messi has been marked for super stardom. But for a niggling succession of injuries, he surely would have been a Ballon D'Or winner by now.
What has always singled out 'Leo' as being special is his ability to dribble at speed with the ball under perfect control. Although primarily a winger, he can play more central or even deeper but, whatever his position, when he has the ball at his feet, the fans always expect something special from him.
Since scoring his first league goal for Barça in May, 2005 Messi has become a talisman for the team - his modest attitude off the pitch and his constant praising of the work of his team mates ensuring that the fans always hold him in the highest esteem.
Life wasn't always easy for Messi, though, despite his prodigious talent. As a youngster, Lionel suffered from a growth preventing hormonal disorder - Barcelona helped tempt him to Spain by paying for his medical treatment. This short stature, ironically, has enabled Leo to have that low centre of gravity that enables him to weave through defences.
Despite being wooed by the Spanish national team, Messi

English Football - The Chances of a Premiership Club Going Out of Business
There are plenty of English football fans wondering whether we could actually lose one of our clubs. The chances of a premiership club going out of business are very slim if you think about it logically. Cast your mind back to the recent banking crisis and the extra funds given to banks that the taxpayer was not told about. It is safe to assume similar rescue packages would be put together to rescue a football club if it came to that.
The scaremongers enjoy telling us that our domestic game is doomed. However

South Africa 2010 - Security So Far So Good
With South Africa rated among the three most violent and crime prone countries in the world, one would think that by now there would be incidence of crimes or violence every where. Surprisingly, nobody has been harassed, no crowd troubles during matches, no shooting, and maiming of visitors. This goes to prove to the world that Africa is not synonymous with violence and crimes. This continent is even more secure than Europe, America, Asia and Australia.
Africans are hospitable people; they love visitors/strangers. This world cup is not a South African affair; it belongs to the whole of the African continent, and everything is

Gustavo Dudamel - El Maestro
Dudamel wasn't quite known as a child prodigy, but he comes from a musical background. His father was a violinist and his mother a voice teacher, so he had music in his household early in life. He didn't start playing an instrument until he was 10 years old, which is considered aged when talking about most prodigies, but he turned out to be very good, enough so that only a couple of years later he was enrolled into the Jacinto Lara Conservatory, where he studied violin with Jose Luis Jiminez. After that he went to study with Jose Francisco del Castillo at the Latin American Violin Academy.
At 14, he started studying conducting with Rodolfo Saglimbeni, and was named Music Director of the Amadeus Chamber Orchestra. Later on, in 1999, he began

Things to Consider When Betting on UK Football Managerial Appointments
This has often been the rule as prices fluctuate wildly and one rogue rumour is enough to see one of the candidates backed off the boards.
Except there's a common theme with most clubs these days. They're all skint. And what do you do when you're a company short of cash? You take a pragmatic approach to recruitment.
I could list oodles of examples here but one of the cheapest successes in this market came when I backed Phil Parkinson to get the Charlton job. The caretaker boss did appallingly and yet still got handed the reins simply because he was the cheapest
option.
I also had a hefty wedge on Neil Lennon to get the Celtic post recently for the same reason. Celtic may be a glamorous name but they're no longer a glamorous club. Lennon, the first footballer I ever interviewed during his time at Crewe but that's another story, has potential and is a choice most fans would accept.
But the stunning Scottish Cup defeat to Gretna seemed to have put paid to his hopes of keeping the job. Except it was excused and I was soon cashing in on my wager. Why? Because he was a better option for the board than all of the other candidates? No, it's just that promoting from within was cost-effective.
Don't get me wrong. There's nothing wrong with this policy. It served Liverpool well for decades. Without giving people a chance, we'd never get anywhere and the managerial merry-go-round would be made up of the same sad old faces hopping from job to job.
But do some research and look up recent managerial appointments across Britain. Take a look at exactly how many interim appointments, the men holding the fort, end up getting the job permanently. Sometimes even if they don't want it (Ricky Sbragia at Sunderland) or their record is shocking (Parkinson).
So next time a manager gets the sack and there's a scramble for all those big names to take over, try and step back from the situation and think rationally. If you were the chairman, what would you do? Okay, forget that. Now think again. If you were the chairman and was forced with financial troubles, what would be the cheapest option? Then find your stand-in temporary coach and have a cheeky flutter on him holding firm.
Of course, it doesn't always work. But you'll find that there's a growing tendency to take the easy option and save a few bucks. Chairmen have a habit of consistently picking the wrong man, and yet when it comes to rectifying the situation they take little responsibility themselves and just wield the axe again.
They should be more accountable but they're often happy to support the caretaker boss. 'It's all about continuity' they preach. 'He deserves his chance'. 'The fans can identify with him'. Poppycock. He's cheaper than the unemployed bosses living off their compensation and raiding other clubs means hefty fees being paid out.
Cheapest means best when it comes to betting on the next manager markets. This is where you should be looking to invest when the time is right.

Tennis Clothes - A Revolution in Style
The evolution of tennis clothes has mirrored the changes in everyday fashion. For example, male tennis players in the 1970's and 1980's favored short, tight-fitting shorts and traditional polo shirts. In the late 1990's and 2000's, male tennis players began to wear larger, looser shorts and more casual shirts. In addition, female tennis players of the 1970's and 1980's favored traditional tennis clothes with an updated style. Popular clothing included shortened tennis skirts and dresses. Today's women tennis players wear a variety of tennis clothes, ranging from tennis skirts and dresses to shorts and t-shirts. While tennis players still wear white at more traditional clubs (e.g. Wimbledon), there is

Their product line has steadily grown to include MMA cages, fight gear, gym and punching bags, and most recently, brand name apparel by joining forces with Affliction Clothing to offer a full range of clothing for athletes and fans alike.
Throwdown clothing enters the ring with high quality garments that are both fashionable and durable. The product line incorporates the energy the Affliction brought to the table through their unique partnership, and the craftsmen who design Throwdown shirts, shorts, and casual clothing provide 100% cotton clothes that are soft yet durable, able to stand up to repeated washings without fading.
In a highly competitive market, Throwdown MMA establishes a one-of-a-kind style that can easily be identified from other brands. The same artistic freedom that made each piece of Affliction clothing unique has carried over into the new shirt designs. The look and feel of each piece reflects the company's commitment to remain true to its heritage, with symbols of power like skulls, swords, and wings dominating the majority of their clothing line. In a way, each Throwdown shirt is a work of art, incorporating colors and silver toned details in many different ways to separate one design from another.
These are the elements that attract faithful customers to the Throwdown MMA brand. Their Headstone Tee and Thorn Tee, for example, bears the message "any time, any place," something that connects with the mindset of a champion MMA fighter and his legion of hardcore fans. The entire line shares a common message and central theme, that those who wear Throwdown clothing are serious about their sport, and wearing these items instills confidence in the person who chooses their products as a sign of strength and mental toughness.
Even their footwear remains true to the Throwdown image and commitment to quality. Their Wings Shoes are made from heavy-duty nubuck suede leather, with a foam padded tongue and a performance cupsole for extra traction. The all-black shoe also has the familiar company logo drawn across the side of the shoe. They also make an attractive, lightweight Women's Cardio Kickboxer Shoe with a two-piece cardio outsole that makes an excellent choice for use in training.
Another bright star in the Throwdown clothing line is their hoodies and thermals, for the chilly nights out on the town or away from the ring. The vendor uses water-based inks for their designs, which fill the entire front and back of the jacket. Their Native Thermal is a perfect example, with a breathtaking design that is sure to attract the attention and interest of people who see you wearing one.
Likewise, the Czar Pullover Hoodie leaves little empty space on its bold graphic design, and the athletic cut of all their garments appeal to the chiseled physiques of MMA fighters and athletes who choose Throwdown MMA as their brand of choice.

Reasons Behind the Personalized NCAA Football Jerseys Popularity
Gone are the days when football players are the only ones who can wear football jerseys. In every football game you have been, whether college football tournaments or the NFL, you can see lots of personalized NCAA football jerseys being worn by fans and even made into flags by fans cheering right on the bleachers. Various football leagues are not really too strict about letting fans use the football players' number and even names on personalized NCAA football jerseys. As long as it keeps these fans happy and patronizing each game then all's considered to be well.
For a quick historical tour, who would ever thought that the humble beginnings were just some plain long sleeves and even heavier than the present football jersey. All the padding beneath those jerseys can be enough to push the player's feet, yes both of them, buried beneath the field with just a couple of steps. But of course, it's probably because some players did actually never make it past a couple of meters that these have changed. And as proof of how great that change was, personalized NCAA football jerseys are continuously held popular among fans.
So why are personalized NCAA football jerseys so popular anyway? Well, aside from the fact that they are more comfortable now as compared with old jerseys, they are also one of the best forms of support fans can ever give to their favorite team or player. Personalized NCAA football jerseys expressively say that a fan is indeed a fan and the clothing also brings him closer to his favorite team or player because he is able to wear it on. In some ways , it can also help a fan give a small taste of what's it like to be the football player himself, even if it's just based on what he wears and not on his field play performance.
Personalized NCAA football jerseys are also very affordable. They need not be made by well known brands and you can always get cheap ones even online. And speaking of online, these jerseys are also made popular by the fact that they can be easily purchase online. Therefore anybody can easily purchase them regardless of where they are. The only trick that's left with purchasing online clothes is that you never really know for sure if the available sizes or the particular size you choose will fit you. But of course, as long as there are money-back guarantees in cases of size dissatisfaction then all is considered to be okay.
Another good reason why personalized NCAA football jerseys remain popular is the fact that there are just way too many football fans out there. There are so many people who love football, whether it is college or professional football. It is one of the most loved sports in America so it is not surprising that personalized NCAA football jerseys will be highly appreciated. Some fans purchase them not to be worn but as a football souvenir or a collectible.

Chelsea against Arsenal FC Merciless
Chelsea FC at the weekend once again proved their superiority over their counterparts Arsenal FC through their talisman, Didier Drogba brace. The match was a game of resentment has Arsenal fans with a 0-3 at home to lose in the first stage of the season.
Arsenal leads us last season against us 2-1 in the first round of the season at Stamford Bridge courtesy of two great goals from Fabregas. Since then they have lost three straight games against us, they lost 1-4 to EmiratesStadium in the second half of last season, 0-3 yesterday in the first half of this season and the 0-2 loss. We beat them at home and abroad this season.
The match had started a good grade for it, with the boys attacks seriously and show a little 'style. They had vengeance on the back of their minds to the world that their loss was to us in the first half due to errors to prove. But before the 10th minute of the first time, the pendulum swung the victory already in our direction, DidierDrogba was the first goal that Arsenal under pressure The first half ended in a gate charge in our favor, but in the second half saw more fire works by the visiting team.
Our goalkeeper Petr Cech has proved too had crush a walnut, cut the post makes it virtually impossible for the boy mark Arsene Wenger. More trying, the further balance the game was beyond them. And before anyone could say Jack Robinson, Didier Drogba added a secondGoal for Chelsea to seal the victory for us. Arsenal were fortunate that his free kick hit the crossbar for what he would do a hat-trick of Drogba. The free kick was taken in a professional manner, and, of course, Arsenal goalkeeper rooted to the spot to watch the ball after the goal.
Drogba with his performance over the weekend showed that we lost while on duty during the national tournament of the Nations Cup 'in Angola. Wayne Rooney gavehim an empty list markers, because of his days of absence from the league, but he announced his return and scored in the last two games. Rooney can achieve and perhaps exceed the top scorer award. Chelsea is really huge progress in the competition this year's Premier League is concerned, and now that football game more compact, I think we can win the championship again and to stop Manchester United get the title for the fourthTime in a role.

Cheap Football Shirts - Just One Problem
The cost of supporting your football team is ridiculous these days, especially for the truly dedicated fan and it really is no surprise to me when you see empty seats at a match.
For starters, there's the cost of your ticket. For lower division sides this isn't as much of an issue but to watch Championship and Premier League football, fans have to pay over the odds in my opinion. I support a Championship side and have recently shelled out just under £500 on a season ticket. The reason? I'm hopelessly dedicated to my team and I know that if I don't pay that amount for a season ticket, I'll only end up paying more for single tickets throughout the season. £500 is what I think a Premier League club should charge as a maximum, not a Championship club as a minimum.
So you've got your premium rate ticket and your heading towards the match but on the way you want to buy a programme. At my club, they cost £3, which again, is too much in my opinion, especially as they're full to the brim with adverts on nearly every page and have little interesting content. I've stopped buying them in the last couple of seasons and haven't regretted it for a minute and I'd advise anyone other fan to do the same.
It goes without saying but you should never pay for food and drink inside the ground at a football match as you'll pay well over the odds. My club isn't that bad in this respect but still charge over double the average retail price for a chocolate bar or a soft drink. However, I've heard horror stories about Premiership clubs charging huge amounts for sub-standard drinks and food.
A big issue in recent times is the price of football shirts. I think the tipping point was when clubs started to ask for more than 40 quid for a shirt that would out of date in less than a year. More teams are changing their home and away shirts every season these days, prompting calls for cheap football shirts from the fans and rightly so. A football shirt should cost no more than £30 in my opinion, especially if a club is going to change the design on a yearly basis.
Football is the national game and to keep it that way, teams need to use the money they get from television rights, sponsorship and sugar daddy owners to lower the price of admission as well as their commercial products. It's the right thing to do.

The World's Worst Soccer Teams - Cuba
The Golden Age
Once upon a time Cuba was one of the best teams in the Americas. By the early 1930s, the Island finished first at the I Central and Caribbean Games. They defeated Costa Rica and Honduras. Subsequently, between July 4 and July 19, 1938, Cuba's national soccer team became the best Caribbean team in soccer history when they placed seventh at the Third FIFA World Championship in Paris, France's capital city. During that event, Cuba had defeated Romania. However the Island was not see again in the World Cup.
Country Profile: Cuba
This Spanish-speaking nation is located in the Caribbean Sea. It covers 42,800 square miles; Latin America's largest individual island. There are at least 12 million people. Havana is the country's capital. Politically, Cuba is a dictatorship.
Since 1959 Cuba, formerly a colony of Spain, has become a Marxist dictatorship. In practice the Island is governed by Castro's family. Hereafter, the nation's dictator Fidel Castro Ruz was elected as the first pro-Soviet leader in the Western Hemisphere. From the 1960s to the 1980s, the USSR (now Russia) provided heavy military and economic aid.
Unfortunately it is one of the most brutal human rights abusing states in the Third World since the 1950s. Due to this, the Cuban tyranny is an international pariah on the world stage, along with Iran, Zimbabwe, Burma and the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (also known as North Korea). According Reports Without Borders, Cuba is one of "15 enemies of the internet on Earth". For political and economical reasons, over 250 athletes, including Olympic champs, had left the country since 1990, the highest of the world's developing nations. Economically, it has become heavily dependent on Venezuelan aid since the 2000s.
FIFA World Cup
Cuba's national team has not qualified for the FIFA World Cup since 1938. In recent decades, many Caribbean and Central American nations, from El Salvador and Honduras to Haiti and Trinidad Tobago, have already outpaced Cuba. By the early 1970s, the Salvadoran team was the winner of the men's soccer CONCACAF Tournament and because of this it was one of the 16 teams in the FIFA championship in Mexico City. Hereafter, twelve years on, El Salvador, along with Honduras, took part in its second men's World Cup in Barcelona (Spain). For the first time in 44 years, Haiti, a virtual unknown before 1974, secured its place in soccer history when they competed at the X World Cup in Munich, West Germany. From 1990 on, Costa Rica has participated twice in the global event. At the FIFA 2002 tournament, the Central Americans finished 19th place (among 32 teams).
Unlike neighboring Cuba, Jamaica qualified for the World Cup in the late 1990s. The Jamaican squad placed 22nd in the FIFA championship, ahead of Scotland, Saudi Arabia and Japan. Subsequently, Trinidad & Tobago, a cricket-loving Island, participated at the 2006 World Cup. Meanwhile, Honduras has qualified for the South Africa 2010. Honduras, one of the poorest nations in the Western Hemisphere, made its World Cup debut in the early 1980s.
From 1962 until the late 1980s, sports in Cuba had suffered an abrupt change when the USSR and other Marxist states sent up to 300 coaches to the Island. Also during that period, the Spanish-speaking nation received more money per capita to promote sports than any other nation on Earth, including South Korea, China and Greece. At the same time, several soccer coaches came to Cuba, from Hungarians to Soviets. In the meantime, the Marxist government sent a host of national squads to Eastern Europe, North Korea and the Soviet Union. Havana also hosted many international tournaments. But despite all of this, the Cuban soccer team did not qualify for the FIFA World Cup. But that was only the beginning of the tragedy.
A Nightmare
From the 1990s to the 2000s, only a handful of soccer players did not escape from Cuba. By the early 1990s, Fernando Griñan, one of the Island's most popular players, sought political asylum in abroad. But Griñan wasn't the only one. By 1998 Eduardo Sebrango fled Cuba to Canada. Shortly afterwards, Alberto Delgado y Perez and Rey Angel Martinez defected from its national team during the 20o2 Gold Cup in the States. Three years later, Maykel Galindo escaped from the Island. Likewise, between 2007 and 2008, Osvaldo Alonso, Lester More, Pedro Faife and Reinier Alcantara had left Havana. In March 2008, seven players sought political asylum in America: Manuel Miranda, Erlys Garcia, Yenier Bermudez, Yordany Alvarez, Loanny Duarte, Yendri Diaz, and Eder Roldan. As a result, Cuba failed to qualify for the 2010 South Africa.

The Importance of Sport Mascot Designs to Sports Teams
Every sports team in the world has a mascot. But what are they and what is their purpose? From the dictionary definition of mascot, it is either an animal, person or object likened to a talisman to bring good luck to a team. This behavior emulating the near-idolization of sport mascot designs has been going on for centuries and is very apparent within native cultures of indigenous peoples. The people of Papua New Guinea, do a dance, while decorated with colors and feathers representing a local majestic bird of prey as a sign of bravery and for good luck in the hunt.
In fairness, it is appropriate to ask if the concept of the mascot is just to sell things. With any particular university, your professional sports team could certainly convince you, that was the case. But it may be more precise to consider that the mascot is a way for the diverse community of tens to condense into one cohesive and supportive unit. If you're a fan of a team called the Bulldogs, it is almost certain you have a shirt jacket, hat or some other emblazoned with bulldog.
Perhaps originally the idea of dressing up or camouflaging oneself to look like a majestic animal was done in the hopes of somehow channeling the ferocious spirit into oneself. And there is certainly something to that regarding sports teams, which is why the majority of physical sports to something fearsome or ferocious as a mascot to inspire the team's success. Those who have graduated from an institute seem to never leave the mascot behind.
Mascots may help sell a lot of trinkets but there's a more serious side to it. They are truly motivational images. The team, school and community actually embrace the mascot is an overarching identity. And a two-college town one can immediately identify the we-they aura in almost any public gathering area. It becomes almost half of all, close to a rivalry game between two teams.
It can be almost amusing to see grown men and women as well as children dressing up in jerseys designed to look just like the players uniforms, and yet no matter how gaudy and out of place they may look, on game day if you're not wearing one, you are out of style. And even in high school are usually treated to the first taste of fame when strangers wear jerseys with their name on the back, all in the name of sport.
Mascot can be a central part of the history and lore of the school or community. The Saints demonstrated the ability to lift an entire community by representing their city. A football team and the name came to represent the people lifting themselves up after a devastating hurricane. When the Saints actually won the Super Bowl the people in the town of New Orleans, stated in interviews that it was a good omen for the city. In this case, the mascot took on a much larger meaning than the name of a football team.
It is possible, however, for a mascot to stir up unanticipated trouble. For many non-natives any reference to Native Americans is meant to honor the bravery, integrity, and honesty the indigenous Americans have come to represent. But during football games when an entire crowd starts making any symbolic tomahawk gesture, it is not always received a positive light.
There have been numerous attempts to eliminate or reduce references to Native Americans as mascots for sporting teams. Inevitably, the icons remain but only after heated discussions which may largely be a healthy approach to keeping respect for one another in the limelight. This is just another example of how the emblems of sports and specifically sport design mascots and bring out emotions and feelings beyond just a sporting team.

The Price of Kids Basketball Shoes is Ridiculous
You see it on the news just about every week. Crimes being committed by children. Children that are not even over the age of 10.
What are these crimes?
Theft, assault and more. What would make a kid want to steal and assault another kid? The answer may surprise you.
The answer is....
Basketball shoes.
The price of these shoes can get well over one hundred dollars. Where is a kid going to get that kind of money?
Well, their parents of course. The parents that can afford expensive basketball shoes do not even think twice about buying them. What they don't think about is what could come of this purchase. Especially if the child lives around, hangs around or goes to school around a poor neighborhood.
The not so well off kids that love the sport of basketball want the best equipment too. They certainly would love to brag that they have a new pair of air force 1's or a box containing a set of air Jordans.
How do the poorer kids get the basketball shoes they want?
Some of them don't get any at all. The ones that really want them but can't afford them and will do anything to get them? They will take the sneakers right off the feet of another kid. Whether that other kid is willing to give them up or not.
Some children will actually go as far as shooting another child just to have that brand name basketball sneaker.
If the prices of these star sponsored shoes were not so ridiculously high, maybe a lot more kids could afford them and there would be less of these senseless crimes over a stupid pair of basketball sneakers.

How to Choose Proper Soccer Cleats
In career of any professional or amateur soccer player, performance on the field is key factor to success. Good performance is depending on many factors. It depends on player's mental and physical straight but also depends on the good footwear. This was recognized in early days of soccer, and that is how the soccer cleats were found.
It is very important, especially for a young player to learn proper usage of soccer cleats. Because, even serious injuries can occur with wrong choice and usage of cleats. Most common injuries caused by wrong choice of cleats are on the ligaments, knees and ankles. Also not that serious but still very uncomfortable injury caused by wrong cleats is blisters on the feet.
Each type of cleats is made for different type of ground. If ground is hard than usage of cleats with rubber studs is recommended because then they don't need to penetrate too much into the ground as the ground is not slippery. On the other hand, if soccer ground is too soft, then you need to use soccer cleats with higher studs, usually made from aluminum, because they are penetrating more into the ground.
Studs on the soccer clears can be fixed or removable. Soccer cleats with removable studs are still more popular among the players because you are using the same boots and changing only studs for different type of ground that you playing on.
But still for younger players is recommended to use fixed (molded) cleats. You can play with them on almost all ground types, and in all weather condition.

Premiership 2008-09 Season Preview
The beginning of a new Premiership season always brings a sense of excitement with the team hoping for a successful campaign. Unfortunately, however, is as exciting as the Premiership, I do not see that is dramatically different from past seasons.
The big four will remain the Big 4 and Chelsea, Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester United will certainly take the top positions and probably all cutlery. I also think it is the consistency of the positions in clubs remainMan Utd and Chelsea battling for the title, Arsenal and Liverpool failed struggle to remain consistent enough.
I wonder if one team can do in and around the first four a serious challenge to break in. Candidates may Aston Villa, Everton and Tottenham are, but I do not know if any of these sites have what you need. Its almost certain that two of these three sides is the fifth and sixth, but the lack of depth will limit furtherSuccess.
At the end I only fate for the three promoted teams. As I like to see Stoke City and Hull a go of it, I'm not sure they have the ability to compete, or deep their team every week. West Brom probably have the best chance of survival, but they need a first class addition to their team to be competitive.
The question is who else in the relegation dog fight and my instinct tells me that would have dragged FulhamBolton and Middlesbrough could be possible. The surprising thing is That these sites well enough to play at the highest level but competition in the Premier League is so strong that almost certainly the closest to the earth as the finish top.
My advice for Portsmouth's success this season. I can certainly see how out of Cup success last season and make an impression in the Premiership. I think a top six finish is definitely on the cards, and who knows how farCrouch and Defoe could go when you really start to fire again. From an English point of view, it would be nice to see these two strikers formed a partnership.
the results of this competition, the year of Premiership football shirts worn Whatever will definitely proud of how the league continues to dominate the world stage.

Vintage Football Shirts - 3 Reasons Why You Should Consider Buying a Retro Football Shirt
Vintage football shirts are becoming more and more popular in recent years and are a great way of showing everyone just how proud you are of your team. What is more, they are a statement of the great affection that you have for the club and it's history.
Below are three reasons why it makes excellent sense to purchase a retro football shirt next season rather than fork out for yet another strip, which only has the slightest of design changes from last season.
Fashion statement
If you are planning to wear your club's current team shirt in a 5-a-side game then that is probably fine, so long as you buy three sizes larger than you would normally do, but please be aware that in almost any other situation you are going to look far from cool wearing it. Whatever you do, please do not go out wearing the shirt with a pair of jeans, as that would be a crime.
A retro football shirt on the other hand will usually look pretty cool with a pair of jeans and many clubs' vintage football shirts are almost fashion statements, which can be worn at all manner of occasions.
Save money
If you can afford to support your team by buying the latest home and away shirt when it changes every season then that is all well and good. However, for those of us on a budget paying out for one of your club's vintage football shirts makes far more sense.
If you can't afford the latest strip each year to wear on the terraces, then it is certain that you are going to look much better in a well known retro football shirt from the past, than the away kit from a couple of season's ago.
This is even more important when the shirt in question has an old sponsor on the front, while on the back is the name of your then favourite player, who has since left the club under a cloud, which seems to be more and more the case with modern day footballers.
Good investment
The final reason why it is worth considering buying a retro football shirt is that they can be a good investment. Please note that this is not always the case, because some of the more popular vintage football shirts are now mass produced, though not to the same extent as a modern day kit. However, it is still possible to find some real gems out there if you shop around.

Liverpool Season Preview 2008
Is this going to be the season that Liverpool finally overcome their problems, remain consistent and at last get their hands on the Premiership trophy that has eluded them for such a long time? In short, no. Well, at least in my opinion.
I'll start with the positives. They have some world class players in every department of their team. Reina is a solid goalkeeper and hasn't let them down too many times when it has really mattered. Carragher is one of the best centre halves in the world and reads the game better than anyone. Nobody has to say anything about Steven Gerrard or Fernando Torres as their quality speaks for itself. When these players are all on the pitch at the same time then Liverpool can beat anyone.
The reason Liverpool will once again slip away from the title race comes down to two reasons. Firstly, their support cast. Yes, they have a number of truly world class performers but out of the Big 4 clubs they always have the weakest support players. The likes of Pennant, Lucas, Voronin etc all have their days when they can perform but aren't suited to challenge for a title. Secondly, Benitez won't pick his best squad for a sustained run of Premiership games, meaning they're likely to get picked off every now and again by the weaker sides. This is where Arsenal, Chelsea and Man Utd always get their extra points. I really can't see Benitez changing his ways and for that reason more than anything, I don't think they'll reach the heights the club deserve to.
If they are going to compete then they need at least three high calibre players to support the stars already at the club. Gareth Barry would be a good start in midfield, but they also need a forward to help Torres out and (in my opinion) another midfielder who can provide chances from wide areas.
As far as my prediction for Liverpool goes, I think it will be a case of the same again. They'll do well in Europe and win some big matches in the Premiership but I can't see them getting over that final hurdle and lifting the crown. I'll go for a third place finish and yet another season where Liverpool football shirts don't get that gold championship badge printed on them.
